We had the car for five days it was very nice. Nissan Maruno. We got it with 4000 miles on it so very brand new it drove like a dream.
Extremely happy, I got a rental for Christmas holiday and it was clean and very enjoyable, I had it for quite a while and even though I got an economy car it was still a very nice car, great on gas, with enough room to carry all our luggage and presents that we were delivering! The lady was also cracking jokes and very speedy when getting us our vehicle.
Do not believe what you read online, do not listen to what the agents on the phone have to say. You CANNOT rent a car with just a debit card here. You must have a credit card or an excellent credit report and they will check it. I called them in advance and they assured me it would be fine however was told by the nice lady at the store that "Yeah you can't really believe what the customer service line says".
I wish they would just tell you the truth up front.
10/31/2023: Charging a late return fee that is equal to the cost of renting the car for a day is a short sighted business proposition. My fault for being 20 minutes late in the return but this experience is the first with renting a car.
11/7/2023 - Update: I have changed my rating from a single to 4 stars after receiving outreach from Avis and a refund on the late fee.
My car broke down while I was on a business trip. After having my car towed to a dealership I called Avis and rented a car and paid for it and then when I arrived to pick up the car there wasn’t a car to pick up . He had no car for me at all. I had to call customer service back and get a refund. I don’t feel they should’ve rented a car to me if there was nothing there available very bad Service and I will never go again.
The woman at the front had no compassion what so ever. You will not be able to rent a car from here unless you have perfect credit or a major credit card. I even offered to give my credit card that has lower limit than what my rental was and would pay with debit but I was declined a rental. My car is in the shop and needed a rental to get to work. Don’t recommend.
Rude manager at front desk when picking vehicle up. Then had to extend a day and did not inform us of $100 rate extra instead of the original $39. Girl that I returned the vehicle to practically laughed about the pricing. Will not rent from this location again!
I would give zero stars if I could! Received car with faulty wipers we discovered after 30 miles on Interstate. Stopped in next town with Avis no fix but change cars to a less space SUV but hubs had to go fill tank(really...after we wasted time off Interstate on this trip cause Avis does not keep cars serviced!) Next day we discovered licence plates expired in June of last year, then next day tir sensor displays 10# less pressure in a tire. So check wiper blades and license plate before taking an Avis car. Hope the tires stay inflated!
